Tooth Extractions

Our in-house oral surgeon is highly experienced and qualified to perform tooth extractions, which are only ever carried out in the interests of your oral health, and to alleviate painful symptoms.

When Is an Extraction Needed?

There are multiple reasons where an extraction is needed. Rest assured we will endeavour to retain your natural teeth in place if it is possible.

In some cases, however, it is necessary to take teeth out such as when:

• Gum disease has loosened teeth.
• A cavity is severe.
• A dental infection can’t be resolved with root canal treatment.
• Your wisdom teeth are impacted or repeatedly become infected.
• When teeth are causing crowding in your mouth.
• If a knock or blow to the face has loosened or severely broken a tooth.

We will inform you if tooth replacement following an extraction is recommended. In cases such as wisdom teeth removal and dental crowding, you will not need to replace the extracted teeth.
